In 1983 Chris was born into a tennis family, you could say it runs in his blood. His Mother was an A grade player and his Father a very successful local coach and player who still coaches in the Sydney area. Chris played in the Newcastle, Illawarra and Sydney areas throughout juniors and competed successfully in many tournaments and represented Wollongong in Inter-Association and Inter-District competitions.

At 15 he started coaching for his Father and found that he too had a great passion for helping people improve their tennis games. Chris then started coaching at Beaton Park Tennis Centre in Wollongong and Aces Tennis in Figtree while studying a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education at the University of Wollongong.

Next up he started the business Chris Lee Tennis and ran The Collegians Tennis and Squash Club employing many coaches and delivering tennis to hundreds of children and adults every week. The coaching clientele quickly grew thanks largely to his involvement with local schools and the successes of his pupils. In 2015, Chris’ students won 3 age groups in the Wollongong District Tennis Association Age Championships and many qualified for champion of champions events in the South-East Area and went on to win these tournaments.

In 2016, a family move to sunny Brisbane came about and Chris wasted no time in assisting the people of Brisbane with their games, landing coaching jobs at The Gap Health and Racquet Club as well as Ferny Hills Tennis Centre even before he was an official Queensland resident. Chris has also worked at Corinda State High School in their Tennis Excellence program and Stuartholme School. Chris is now a Senior Tennis Coach at Shaw Park Tennis Centre in Wooloowin, North Brisbane. On top of coaching, Chris plays Super League fixtures and plays occasional tournaments to keep his eye in.
